Ellsworth Associates designed and built the homes at the corner of Sherman and Winslow Streets in Cambridge to create three individual, energy-efficient residences. Each provides a family atmosphere and privacy in a wonderful neighborhood. The original 1869 house was transformed and rebuilt to new-construction standards, and two new contemporary homes were added. Close to Harvard and Porter Squares, Huron Village and Fresh Pond / Alewife T, this location offers convenient access to all directions.

From start to finish, we have followed strict guidelines to build Energy Star Homes. Each home has a 2-zone Hydro-Air system with a 95% efficient Buderus boiler and an indirect hot water system. All building wallcavities are completely filled with Icynene insulation for greater energy efficiency, tight construction, and warm Cambridge winters. We’ve installed Lightolier “Xceed" compact fluorescent recessed lights, which can last five times longer while using 1/3 the energy.

All three homes represent the highest standard of new construction and are equipped with state of the art products and materials. Kitchens contain a full suite of Kitchen Aid appliances, surrounded by cherry cabinets and black granite countertops. The sunlit spaces owe their glow to an accent color wall, bright hardwood maple floors and creative window design. Unique bathrooms continue the architectural language. Private exterior gardens, decks, and balconies complete the peaceful experience of your new home.
